S2 40 Plays in 40 Minutes!

Service Description

Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:25 PM January 14 - April 15 No class March 18 The important life skills targeted in this class are: Public speaking and confidence Improvisational skills, including quick thinking, sharing the stage, and Creativity and self-expression Physical and vocal acting skills It's a race against the clock in the madcap challenge to perform 40 plays in only 40 minutes! These mini-skits range from the quirky to the cute to jokes and puns. This class will culminate in a public performance at On Stage Ready's stage. 40 Plays in 40 Minutes is for actors aged 8-17. Technical rehearsal will be Thursday April 16 from 6 pm - 8:30 pm. The public performance will be Friday April 17 at 7:30 pm. Sunday, April 19 at 7:30 pm will be held as an alternate performance date should inclement weather cause any one of the scheduled performances to be cancelled. Actors should be available for all technical rehearsals as well as performance and alternate performance dates. Students in this course should be available to attend all rehearsals, and any conflicts will need to be given to the director by week 2. Students should bring labeled water bottle to each rehearsal and wear comfortable clothing for movement Course may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.
