Service Description

Mondays 1 - 3:00 pm January 5 - April 20 No class March 16 Robin Hood, the outlaw of Sherwood Forest, leads a merry life with his followers. Anyone who is hungry or who has no place to live is welcome. The citizens of the forest oppose wicked Prince John. He's taken the place of King Richard the Lion-Hearted, who has gone to the Holy Land on a crusade. One day a caravan cuts through the woods. In the convoy is Robin's childhood sweetheart, Maid Marian, ward of King Richard. Alas, the evil Lady Merle of Cornwall plans to force Marian to marry the Prince in an effort to make John more acceptable to the people of England. To arms! It's up to Robin to stop the marriage, defeat a nasty sheriff, and secure Nottingham for the king's return. On Stage Ready is proud to announce that Robin Hood will be a fully produced play for actors aged 8-17. Directed by Hannah Olsen and Kenzie Zamora, rehearsals for will be held on Mondays from 1 pm to 3:00 pm beginning January 5. Technical and dress rehearsals will be Tuesday April 21 and Thursday April 23 from 6 pm - 8:30 pm. The public performances will be at On Stage Ready's outdoor stage on Friday April 24 at 7:30 pm and Saturday April 25 at 7:30 pm. Sunday, April 26 at 7:30 pm will be held as an alternate performance date should inclement weather cause any one of the scheduled performances to be cancelled. Actors should be available for all technical and dress rehearsals as well as performance and alternate performance dates. Students in this course should be available to attend all rehearsals, and any conflicts will need to be given to the director by week 2. Students should bring labeled water bottle to each rehearsal and wear comfortable clothing for movement. Course tuition includes all sessions, actor's script, show t shirt, costume(s), and fun! Deposit of $125 due at registration, additional tuition of $100 due on February 1, March 1, and April 1. Course may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.
